BIM and Digital Twin For Energy Management – 2nd eUMaP Workshop

The second workshop of the eUMaP project dedicated to the theme of BIM AND DIGITAL TWIN FOR ENERGY MANAGAMENT was held on 23 November 2022 in the frame of the National Central Library of Rome and as part of the Technologyforall event. During the event, some of the fundamental aspects of the eUMaP project related to the issue of public utility services were discussed. In particular, the issue of BIM and the digital management of Twin Energy was addressed.

The main topics were:
• BIM platforms and Digital Twin concepts
• Intelligent devices and protocols for energy management

9 presentations were discussed, in the following order:

- Remote sensing and geomatic techniques in urban and environmental cartography (Donatella Dominici)
- Spatial, functional and temporal analysis of Wi-Fi hotspots during the covid-19 curfew (Marius Ivaškevičius)
- Identification of residential areas based on open source data: a multi-criteria holistic indicator to optimize resource allocation during a pandemic (Gabriele Oliva)
- Intelligent energy management devices (Antreas Naziris)
- Balancing thermal comfort and energy use for careful management of buildings (Giacomo Salvadori, Giulia Lamberti)
- Building Energy Resilience: The Role of Energy Management Systems, Smart Devices, and Optimal Energy Control Techniques (George Chantzis)
